About SimCoupe |
SimCoupe is a Sam Coupe Emulator. It was originally written to run under Xwindows on Unix systems. A console version later appeared, and then it was ported to run in MSDOS.
A seperate group of people managed to port a version for MacOS.
There are several developers currently working on SimCoupe, and much effort is going into creating a working MS-Windows version.
SimCoupe can use your computers disk drive directly to read Sam Formatted disks, or will accept files containing a Disk Image. Most Sam software now being uploaded to the ftp site, and placed on peoples web sites, is in a SimCoupe compatible format. Programs are also available to create disk images from disks, and to place a disk image onto a blank disk.
