Rules:

This is a puzzle game. It's all about pushing blocks around, which look an awful lot like lower case letters. The aim of the game is to get rid of all the nasty monsters on each level. This is because... well... they're nasty and they smell funny and they eat babies and stuff like that. Fortunately even a big nasty monster can't cope with being flattened by a block so this is your chance to give them what they deserve.

Be warned, a wise man once said "All blocks are not alike", or at least if he didn't he should have done because it's true. In particular, blocks later in the alphabet tend to do bad things to blocks earlier in the alphabet if they are obstructed by them. It's all part of the complex and oppressive class system that still exists amongst alphanumeric blocks, or something like that.

Late letters crush early ones.
Destroy all monsters.

+ - Our hero ( That's you that is ! )

$ - Serpent ( These are wusses so blocks don't stop when they hit 'em. )
& - Heffalump ( These are so passive you can push 'em around if you want. )
* - Lurker ( Fairly standard nasties, if a bit hard to spot. )
@ - Whirlpool ( Will absorb the block that kills them... schluuuuurp !)

Apart from the comments about the different kinds of monsters, generally speaking blocks will stop when they hit a monster or another block. Also most monsters cannot be pushed around !
